What is AAOCC?

The Ann Arbor Open Coordinating Council (AAOCC) is Ann Arbor Open's version of a PTSO.  The purpose of the AAOCC is to provide support for and further the educational goals of Ann Arbor Open School; to encourage cooperation and communication among all people connected with the school (students, parents, staff, administrators, and the community) and to assure shared decision-making on the formation and implementation of program policy.

The 2017 AAOCC Climate Survey is now available!

What does the AAOCC do for our school?

  • Listens to concerns from all stakeholders (students, parents and teachers) at Ann Arbor Open.
  • Communicates important information about Ann Arbor Open. Provides information on a dedicated website regarding all aspects of our school.
  • Works to help the Ann Arbor Open community achieve enriching and valuable educational opportunities.

How do I get involved?

  • Attend the monthly AAOCC meetings.
  • Volunteer to be a classroom liaison or to help staff at any of our school events. Contact your child's teacher for classroom liaison or the Volunteer Coordinator for any volunteer assistance.

Mark your calendars with the 2017-2018 AAOCC meeting schedule

  • All meetings are from 7-8:30 pm on the third Tuesday of the month. Childcare will not be provided for the 2017-18 school year as students and children are encouraged to attend the meeting as well.
