What is AAOCC?

The Ann Arbor Open Coordinating Council (AAOCC) is Ann Arbor Open's version of a PTSO.  The purpose of the AAOCC is to provide support for and further the educational goals of Ann Arbor Open School; to encourage cooperation and communication among all people connected with the school--students, parents, staff, administrators, and the community; and to assure shared decision-making on the formation and implementation of program policy.

The 2017 AAOCC Climate Survey is now available!

What does the AAOCC do for our school?

  • Listens to concerns from all stakeholders (students, parents and teachers) at Ann Arbor Open
  • Communicates important information about Ann Arbor Open – Provides information on a dedicated website regarding all aspects of our school
  • Works to help the Ann Arbor Open community have enriching and valuable educational opportunities

How do I get involved?

  • Attend the monthly AAOCC meetings
  • Volunteer to be a classroom liaison or to help staff any of our great school events

Mark your calendars with the 2016-2017 AAOCC meeting schedule

  • All meetings are from 6:30 - 8:00 pm on the third Tuesday of the month. Free childcare provided.
